How Many City Of Bones Books Are There

City of Bones, What made you like it.

Ok ive started city of bones because i keep hearing how amazing it is. I personally cannot stand it.What made you like the books?

City of Bones. Oh how I love that book/ series. :DReasons I love it:1.) The world. It draws me in and satisfies my imagination. This world includes shadowhunters, demons, vampires, werewolves, faeries, warlocks and more. It’s like all my favorite fantasy creatures combined. How can I not want to read a book like that?2.) The characters. They are so great and they’re all developed. Clary is headstrong, stubborn, and incredibly determined. Clary is the main character, but she is not the only one we as readers care about. There is Jace with his tortured soul and snarky dialogue and protectiveness towards those he calls his family. That just makes readers fall in love with his personality. He acts as though he doesn’t care, but there’s something deeper to him that Cassandra Clare develops throughout the course of the novels. Simon with his support for Clary, the friend who doesn’t have any special powers (yet) but is important in other ways. Alec, Jace’s parabati, always looking out for Jace while hiding a secret he’s not quite ready to share. Isabelle who is strong, fierce, and independent. She’s a fighter but also has a soft spot for her family. Max, the cute younger brother who seems to get in the way but is still loved by them all. Magnus, the cool warlock dude, who always shows up to help and also has a story himself. Valentine, the evil merciless villain who’s past and background is interesting and unique. The fact that the story is written in third person is neat because Clare can flash into the lives of all these characters, and we begin to feel for each and every one of them.3.) The romance. :)Come on. Jace and Clary are the cutest thing ever. They long for what they can’t have, they fight, they argue, but they understand each other. You’ll soon discover a secret about them but don’t let it deter you. :)4.) The action/plot.It’s awesome. There’s so many twists and turns in this series. That’s another thing that makes it different from Twilight. Jace and Clary have actual lives and worries outside of their relationship. There’s a lot of action in this series.5.) The dialogue. It’s just fantastic and hilariously funny.6.) It’s just awsometastic. 🙂 It’s so enjoyable and easy to read. And they’re making a movie. Which will probably also be awesometastic if they get it right.City of Bones is not for everyone but I urge you to keep reading, my friend.**Why the thumbs down? O.o It’s just an opinion.

ok how many people who have read city of bones think that clary and jace are REALLY NOT siblings.. .

i just cant beleive there brother and sister!! they cant be !!!!! so first tell me if you think that jace and clary are perfect for eachother! and if you think in city of glass that it will be reaveled that they ar’nt becasue they cant there just to perfect for eachother don’t you agree?!

Yes i total agree. to me it looks like they might not be brother and sister by the last convo jace had with the inquisitor (if you remember it; it starts on page 388 of city of ashes) it hints that they may be wrong and i think in the third book we will find out that in fact he is not Valentine’s son but Micheal Wayland’s. So clary and jace can be together as they should be.

How many books are there in the Mortal Instruments series.

I know there are 4 but is there a 5th or 6th one?

There are four right now, but there are two more on the way. They are in order (Including the ones that are already out):City of BonesCity of AshesCity of GlassCity of Fallen AngelsCity of Lost SoulsCity of Heavenly FireSince the last three books were written (or will be written) mostly to cash in as much as she could from the series, I wouldn’t put it below Cassandra Clare to write even more, so I guess we’ll see how much she can milk the series.

how many pages are in the City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.

how many chapters are in the city of bones by Cassandra Clare.

just out of random curiosity. I do not own the book and am wondering how many chapters there are in the book.

There are 23 chapters in the book plus an epilogue. If you count the epilogue 24 total.

What is City of Bones about.

Basically I have two questions: What is it about and is it any good?Actually I have three questions: I heard that its sequel came out or is coming out soon? How many of these books are there?

City of Bones:When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder — much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Clary knows she should call the police, but it’s hard to explain a murder when the body disappears into thin air and the murderers are invisible to everyone but Clary.Equally startled by her ability to see them, the murderers explain themselves as Shadowhunters: a secret tribe of warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. Within twenty-four hours, Clary’s mother disappears and Clary herself is almost killed by a grotesque demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know….And YES, City of Bones is so, so, so GOOD! Well, actually it’s kinda boring in the beginning but it gets way better and the second book, City of Ashes, it came out last year, is REALLY good. If you read it you will, like, never sit still. It’s really exciting, every time you turn a page something exciting happens….And the third just came out on March 24. I actually haven’t read it yet but it has to be good. And the third one is the last one so it will be a trilogy. Here’s a link to Cassandra Clare’s site and it has the excerpts. And don’t read the summary to the other books unless you want the surprise ruined….

How many Mortal Instruments books are there.

Enjoy them, I love them

City of Bones………..

The book City of Bones is part of a series, right? What is the name of the other books? (in order please). I think theres 6 but I dont know… i’m really confused lol. And how is the series? any good?

Yep, there are six books:1. City of Bones2. City of Ashes3. City of Glass4. City of Fallen Angels (not yet released)5. City of Lost Souls (not yet released)6. City of Heavenly Fire (not yet released)Personally, I thought that these books were awful. I gave up on the first one halfway through it because it was so boring. I could pick out where certain plot twists and elements came from (like *this* came from Star Wars, and *this* came from Buffy) and the characters were all imitations of other, better characters. Everyone was a wise-cracker and you can only have so many of those in one book before it gets stupid. The books were completely unoriginal, but what should I expect from the infamous Cassandra Cla(i)re?

  1. There a 6, the final one isn’t out thou. It will drop in 2014.I thought it was one of the most unique YA Paranormal series. So much more than good vs. bad.

  2. I asked because I wanted to know if the torture would end at the third book. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this series. It’s SO predictable, I knew everything that was going to happen before it happened because the writer is so terrible at foreshadowing.

  5. The best part of City of Bones is the dialogue. I thought it was funny and enjoyable. And if I think something about a book is humorous, I’m pretty much sold. I’m not a snob. I read for enjoyment as well as inspiration and enlightenment, and City of Bones is a light, entertaining read with funny dialogue. Yeah, it’s not brilliant, but it’s fun.

  6. City of Fallen AngelsTHEY ARE GREAT BOOKS IF YOU LIKE THING LIKE DIVERGENT, THE HINGR GAMES, and THE FAILT IN OUR STARS. THE START OF THE FIRST ONE IS SLIGHTLY SLOW, BUT THEY ARE ALL AMAZING BOOKS ONCE YOU GET INTO THEM.

  9. 1 City of BonesI liked it because it was, for all its flaws, easy to read. I’ve tried to get through books which were not only vapid and poorly written, but getting through each paragraph was like being kicked in the ribs. It was almost physically painful and I had to force myself to read each page. City of Bones is very easy to get lost in.My best friend is reading this book, but I have no idea! lol! Sorry…
